COMPETITOR VISUAL ANALYSIS

Define

We decided to focus on improving usability and visuals in three areas that affect users most and position MedMatch’s brand most competitively.

#1

PROFILE ONBOARDING
Key to recommendations to users

#2

USER PROFILE
Key to how users market themselves

#3

MATCH MANAGEMENT
Key to continued user engagement

USABILITY PRINCIPLES

  • Consistent interactions

  • Clear information hierarchies & flow

  • Full-power mobile experience

VISUAL PRINCIPLES

  • 2-3 consistent brand colors

  • Evolution of current aesthetic

  • Flexibility over multiple portals

Solve

The most strategic solution is to reorganize the content in a linear flow that mirrors the job search process, and to build an interface that allows users to review disparate pieces of information without being taken out of the flow.

VISUAL EXPLORATION

After touching base with the MedMatch team, we decided that the MODERN LOOK would best serve their current brand.

Refine

We then built out multiple iterations of high-fidelity mockups for our features in focus.

MOBILE EXPERIENCE

As users progress in the match process, they want to have constant access to their match statuses. So, adapting the design for mobile devices was critical.

Results

After working with the Medmatch team to refine the design to match both user and business goals, we handed off our assets to their development team to implement.
